Word Art Wednesday Challenge 185 - THE POWER OF GOD

Good Morning.
It's time for a new Word Art Wednesday Challenge!
I especially love stopping by this challenge blog every Wednesday morning.
I love reading the devotion / teaching they have posted and how it
goes along with the weeks scripture to help us better understand and learn from
God's holy word. I feel like it is a happy, wonderful, love filled family over there and
am SO BLESSED to be a part of it! God is so good to me and He knows what we need
EVERY DAY! This scripture speaks to my heart and I know it will yours.
In this day and time, with the world, especially America, seeming to be doing all kinds
of flip flopping and following the world rather than God, it is just down right scary at times.
We NEED God's word and sword more than ever.
We need to know truth and the only way to do that is to listen to HIM and not to MEN.
Back up what friends, people, teachers, pastors say in the Bible. Make sure what you are learning
AND in turn sharing are from God's word, and not man's thoughts.

This week's scripture verse is 1 Corinthians 2:5

I used the sketch at FUSION CARD CHALLENGE as my inspiration for this card.
I am still out of black ink. sigh. So I did print the FREE word art file in color again this week.

Please stop by to get this FREE word art file and play along in our challenge >>HERE<<

Praise God! FOREVER He is glorified, FOREVER He is lifted high!

"The Word" by Isaac Wimberley

"If there are words for Him then I don’t have them.

You see, my brain has not yet reached the point where it could

form a thought that could adequately describe the greatness of my God,

and my lungs have not yet developed the ability to release a breath
with enough agility to breathe out the greatness of his love,

and my voice, you see,
my voice, is so inhibited, restrained by human limits
that it’s hard to even sing the praise of…
You see… if there are words for Him then I don’t have them.

My God,
His grace is remarkable, mercies are enumerable,
strength is impenetrable, He is honorable, accountable, favorable,
He is unsearchable yet knowable, indefinable yet approachable, indescribable yet personal,
He is beyond comprehension, further than imagination, constant through generations,
king of every nation.

But if there are words for Him then I don’t have them.
You see, my words are few, and to try to capture the one true God,
using my vocabulary will never do,
but I use words as an expression,
an expression of worship to a savior,
a savior who is both worthy and deserving of my praise, so I use words.

My heart extols the Lord, blesses his name forever,
He has won my heart captured my mind and has bound them both together,
He has defeated me in my rebellion,
conquered me in my sin,
He has welcomed me into his presence,
completely invited me in.
He has made himself the object of my sight,
flooding me with mercies in the morning,
drowning me with grace in the night.

But if there are words for Him
then I don’t have them.
But what I do have is good news,
for my God knew that manmade words would never do,
for words are just tools that we use to point to the truth,
so He sent His son Jesus Christ as “The Word”, living proof,

He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation,
for by Him all things are created, giving nothingness formation,
and by His words he sustains, in the power of His name,
for He is before all things and over all things he reigns, holy is his name,
so praise him for his life…

The way he persevered in strife,
the humble son of God becoming the perfect sacrifice,
praise him for his death…

that He willingly stood in our place, that he lovingly endured the grave,
that he battled our enemy and on the third day rose in victory

He is everything that was promised,
praise Him as your risen king,
lift your voice and sing for one day he will return for us
and we will finally be united with our savior for eternity, eternity.

So it’s not just words that I proclaim,
for my words point to “The Word” and “The Word” has a name,
hope has a name,
joy has a name,
peace has a name,
love has a name
and that name is Jesus Christ.

Praise His Name FOREVER!"

CAS Red and White

Happy Monday!
I am here to share a simple little card with you.
This card was created using the Fresh Brewed Designs Digital Stamp

Splitcoaststampers  Ways to Use it Challenge (WT532)
is to create using only red and white.
I admit, this was a bit of a challenge for me. Not often do I use
just TWO of ANY colors when creating. I LOVE COLOR!
but am happy with the way this turned out :)

Materials:
 Copic Markers: R12, R14, R17
Sharpie Marker: red
White gel pen, red glitter pen
American Craft bookshelf double sided paper: Alcott
Rub on sentiment

Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope everyone has a very happy and blessed day.

Beach Days

Two posts in one day?
I am just as shocked as you are!
*wink wink*

I have been out of black in in my printer AND out of my glue runner
for over a month now. OVER A MONTH I TELL YOU!
I don't know how I have survived.
My stamps were able to be inked this week and I have been
digging through my folder of already printed digis to see if I have something I can use
for upcoming challenges. I have been able to survive without ink better than
glue though. I have a TERRIBLE glue runner that will hold somewhat, but I
have had to reinforce everything with glue dots and such. Sigh. I can't wait until
I am able to get to the store and get some glue!!!!!!!!

Now, enough fussing and complaining ;) and on to my project!
I had fun coloring up my
This stamp set comes with ALL of the images shown here.
The fun little beach girl and 3 sentiments for $9
You can find her in the shop >>HERE<<

The weather has been SO nice. Summer is JUST around the corner for sure!

I, again, found all of these papers in my scrap box.
I traced the half circle using my coffee creamer lid (lol... I know...)
and distressed the edges to hide my not so fabulous fussy cutting skillz.

Thank you for stopping by today!
I hope you have a very happy and blessed week ahead.

Happy Sunday Morning!

I am stopping by with a super fast post to remind you to play along in
our FRESHLY BREWED CHALLENGE: Red White and Blue Color Challenge.
This challenge ends Tuesday at Midnight EST, so don't wait!
Play along TODAY :)

I created this card using our Fresh Brewed Designs Rubber Stamp:

( SC541 )

ALL and I mean ALL of the papers were found floating
around in my HUGE scrap box. I have NO IDEA
what the names of ANY of them are.

I DO know that I colored this image with copic and prismacolor markers :)
I then fussy cut her out and layered her onto the card base with foam squares.

VOILA, a sweet little card was made.
I think I will go pick some strawberries next week and surprise someone
with a card and a basket full of sweet berry goodness,
much like this STRAWBERRY CUPCAKE CUTIE is doing. :)

Wishing you all a very happy and blessed Sunday!

Freshly Brewed Challenge May 20-26 ~ Red White and Blue

This week at Freshly Brewed Challenges
we are challenging you to create something using the colors RED WHITE AND BLUE.

Here is a card I created using Cutie Bug Flag
and a computer generated sentiment

The card base is a light blue PTI cardstock, the star paper is by Making Memories: Just Chillin paper pack, and the rest of the papers were all found in my scrap pile

I used a white gel pen to draw dots around the card and a red shimmer pen to draw
on the red stripes on the flag. They didn't turn out the way I wanted. More of a pink -
silver shimmer than the bold red they were before... but whatcha gonna do?!? :)

I hope you will stop by and play along with us at Freshly Brewed Challenges!

Have a happy and blessed day!

Word Art Wednesday Challenge 184

Happy Wednesday!
This is one of my favorite days of the week.
I get to stop in and check in with you all and share a beautiful scripture with you!

This weeks scripture is Deuteronomy 30:14
and is free for you >>HERE<<

Here is my simple little card I created
using this lovely scripture. (Yes, I am still out of black ink :( ....)

I printed the sentiment on some white PTI paper, used pop dots and mounted it onto some PTI Kraft paper.
The heart embellie was made for me by my sister :) and the heart trim is from a paper set: My Minds Eye: Love me Do.

Thank you for stopping by today!
